This course provides essential information about the hazards of lead exposure, particularly in the workplace.1 Participants will learn:

  • What is lead and its sources: Understand the different forms of lead and where it can be found in the workplace (e.g., construction, manufacturing, demolition).

  • Health effects of lead exposure: Learn about the potential health risks of lead exposure, including neurological, reproductive, and developmental impacts.

  • Lead exposure prevention methods: Discover effective methods to minimize lead exposure, such as engineering controls, work practices, and personal protective equipment (PPE).2

  • Employee rights and responsibilities: Understand employee rights related to lead exposure and their responsibilities in protecting themselves and their coworkers.

  • OSHA regulations: Learn about relevant OSHA standards and regulations regarding lead exposure in the workplace.
