This training course focuses on preventing workplace injuries caused by:

• Struck By: Hazards involving objects or materials striking employees (e.g., falling objects, flying debris, swinging loads).

• Caught In Between: Hazards where employees become trapped or compressed between two or more objects (e.g., caught in moving machinery, crushed between vehicles).

The course will cover:

• Hazard identification and assessment: Recognizing and evaluating potential "Struck By" and "Caught In Between" hazards in the workplace.

• Safe work practices and procedures: Implementing effective controls to minimize risks, such as:

  • Lockout/Tagout procedures

  • Safe lifting and handling techniques

  • Proper machine guarding

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

• Personal protective equipment (PPE): Understanding and using appropriate PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

• Incident investigation and reporting: Learning how to investigate and report "Struck By" and "Caught In Between" incidents to prevent future occurrences.
